The amount each general aviation airport receives is dependent upon the airport’s specific NPIAS (National Plan of Integrated Airports System) classification. As a regional airport, BNA was awarded $69,000.
Airport revenue may not reach the estimated projections in 2020 due to the crisis, so Airport Manager Warren Hendrickson is incredibly grateful for the additional funding.
“The Port will track both the funding received and how it is ultimately expended.” Hendrickson said. “I’m very thankful that we have the support of the federal government in these unprecedented times.”
The Port of Bremerton is determined to help the community through the crisis and is looking at ways to help both tenants and the public.
