Looking towards future growth opportunities, the Port of Bremerton has completed construction of two spec buildings. The first, finished last year, has been occupied since the day it was completed. The second, finished in April, is being occupied by Allied Boats.
Allied Boats, a leader in heavy aluminum offshore fishing boats, is already a Port tenant, and is expanding with the space in Olympic View Industrial and Business Park. They’ll be turning it into a finishing space and a showroom for their boats.
The Port is also working to finish infrastructure construction in the same area. That land may be used in a public/private partnership—the Port of Bremerton is trying to find creative ways to assist our current and future tenants in their expansion needs. Together with private developers, a proposal has been sent out for the construction of a 70,000 sf building to meet the need for an existing tenant. A 50,000 sf building is also in the works and a 60,000 sf business expansion will be commencing this summer. One of the Port of Bremerton’s newest tenants, WRG Fire Training Simulation Systems, is also working on the construction of their new building at the Port’s Olympic View Industrial and Business Park.
