During these times, the Port staff continues to focus on serving the public and Port tenants, as well as protect the health of the community and Port employees. As communities nationwide continue to feel the impact of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), I want to share with you the steps we're taking to help protect the health of our tenants, employees, and communities.
We’re closely monitoring local and national reports on the evolving impact of COVID-19. Based on guidance from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO) and local public health agencies, we've established a response team to act quickly and effectively.
In order to safeguard against the spread of the COVID-19 virus, effective Wednesday, March 18th, all Port of Bremerton offices, including the Airport, Bill Mahan Conference Room, Industrial Park, Port Orchard Marina and Bremerton Marina will be temporarily closed to the public. Office personnel will still be working and are available to provide the assistance you need via email, phone, mail, or Port website.
The Marina restrooms and laundry facilities will remain open for marina tenants. The Port Orchard Marina fuel dock will continue operations. All facilities will continue to be disinfected multiple times daily. For additional questions or information, please call the Marina offices and they will be happy to assist you.
We have asked any employee who shows symptoms or who have come into contact with an infected individual to stay home and follow the CDC guidelines to prevent the spread of the virus. Should an employee show symptom or come in contact with an infected person, we plan to close and clean the entire office to ensure our community and employees are protected to the best extent possible.
All of us here at the Port feel deeply for those who have been impacted by this outbreak. We value your business and plan to take all necessary steps to ensure our office is a safe place for everyone. Again, the health and safety of our employees, tenants and our communities are a top priority and we're committed to doing our part to help keep you safe.
Thank You,
Jim Rothlin
